Suntory takes fresh approach to ‘Time’

From the House of Suntory – maker of Japanese single malts Yamazaki and Hakushu, Chita single grain whisky and Hibiki blended whiskey – now comes another premium and contemporary whiskey blend, Toki.

Toki (meaning ‘time’) is a concept that is deeply woven into the Japanese way of life, where regard for convention and re-evaluation starts an amazing inventive vitality.

The House of Suntory’s fourth Chief Blender, Shinji Fukuyo, was inspired to take a fresh approach with Toki. The luminous sunlight gold blend creates a symphony of flavours. To the nose, the blend is fresh and light with a fruity aroma derived from green apple, a soothing touch of honey, wrapped in pleasant basil.

On the palate, the blend is gentle, with notes of grapefruit and green grapes leading to an interlude of peppermint and thyme. It has a subtly sweet and spicy finish with a hint of vanilla oak, white pepper and ginger.
